Lower Your Credit Card Processing Fees in Charlotte Without Switching

If you run a business in Charlotte, you've probably had a processing rep walk in promising lower fees. Trailblaze is the other kind of help. We are a Fort Mill company just across the state line, and we read your statement for you without anything to sell you afterward.

Who we work with

Charlotte has every kind of card-taking business, and the fee problems look about the same across all of them. We review statements for restaurants and bars, coffee shops, salons and spas, medical and therapy clinics, retail stores, and local service companies. Single location or a few merchant accounts, it works the same way. If card fees are a real line on your P&L and nobody has checked them in a while, it's worth a look.

How it works

  1. Upload one recent monthly statement on the statement review page. PDF, photo, or a portal export is fine.

  2. We go through it line by line.

  3. Within one business day you get your effective rate, a list of the junk fees, a note on what probably can't be negotiated, and a clear yes or no on calling your processor.

If the answer is yes, we help you negotiate with the processor you already have. Step-by-step details are on How It Works.

Not a processor, and that's the point

A lot of the "lower your fees" offers around Charlotte come from companies that sell processing, or from reps paid to sign you up. Some pitch a new rate, some pitch moving card fees onto your customers. Either way, the recommendation and the sale come from the same place.

Trailblaze doesn't sell processing, POS, software, or equipment, and takes no kickbacks. There's no processor switch, no new hardware, and no retraining your staff. Ryan Bates, who runs Trailblaze, has about 15 years in payments and spends his time on one thing: getting merchants a fair deal from the processor they're already with.

"They helped us save on our processing without changing anything about how we operate. Very easy process. I wish we had done this sooner." (Selena, Fish Market Fort Mill)

"Ryan was kind, proactive and communicative which really assisted in the process. This is such a valuable service in our current economy, and I'd recommend reaching out!" (Rebecca, ACT Therapy Services)

What it costs

The first review is free. Processors tend to creep fees back up over time, so we also offer ongoing monitoring for $49 per merchant account per month, cancel anytime. See Pricing and Monitoring.

Charlotte FAQ

Is there a catch to the free review?
No. If your rates are already fair, we'll say so and you're done.

Will you try to move me to a new processor?
No. We don't sell processing, so we have no reason to.

Do you work with businesses in North Carolina?
Yes. We're based in Fort Mill, SC, and work with merchants in Charlotte and across the Carolinas.
